more about me

Growing up, Bini noticed that the family members who took better care of themselves, practiced healthy habits and exercised regularly had both a better quality of life and lived longer. Sadly, her family has a history of diabetes and obesity, with several loved ones passing before their time due to unhealthy habits.

Bini’s healthy lifestyle was inspired by her father, a marathon runner, and especially by her grandmother, who at age 40, gave up smoking, became a vegetarian, and an expert on herbal remedies and vitamins and mineral supplements. She began a daily jogging regimen and would even take a young Bini with her to yoga and tai chi classes. They cooked together, gardened, shared recipes, stood on their heads, and read all the latest research on health. Bini’s grandmother lived well into her 90’s with a positive attitude and an outstanding quality of life.

Bini went on to become an athlete at the University of Florida, taught fitness classes through school, and completed a graduate degree at the University of Miami in Exercise Physiology.

Scientific & Data Driven Processes

brings results you can trust

Bini has changed my mindset on what it means to be healthy! Her advice and constant support truly helped me transform my body and thoughts from the inside out. I see huge changes in my mood and am forever grateful for the changes she brought me! I will continue to practice the methods she taught me and it is comforting to know that she is always there if I have questions.

Molly Bochner

I was told that I was “an allergic person” but not specifically allergic to anything. When I finally went to my dermatologist’s office, she suggested food sensitivity testing for my skin. Bini didn’t emphasize the things I could no longer eat. Instead she went over the things I could have.

Brianna Cohen

I recommend food sensitivity testing to anyone suffering from migraines. Foods may be the culprit, as it was for me, and you can get better fast. More importantly, I recommend Bini because she is a true nutritionist and an asset in guiding you through the process.

Sheila Boutros

I had acne very badly on my back and face. So I opted to try food sensitivity testing, and it worked great. Although I had to temporarily avoid many of the foods I was used to eating, I learned to make all my meals with the fruits, veggies, proteins and carbs that I wasn’t sensitive to. The results were dramatic and very visible. I totally recommend it.

Chad Masin

I am so thankful to Bini for all the time and support she put in to help me feel healthy again. I now know my body better and am in control of my health.

Bari Gordon

My success is due to the ALCAT and to Bini in helping me comply with the program. By the end of the 6 months, I was feeling great and had even lost some weight.

Brent Levison

I have had atopic dermatitis, a dry skin condition, all my life. I was always itchy and scratching. Then I sat down with Bini. A year and a half later, not only did my skin problems go away, but I became more aware of nutrition, which is invaluable to me as a future physician.

Brianna Cohen

I was diagnosed with IBS after suffering with severe abdominal pain and weight loss. Food sensitivity testing was my last resort, but should have been my first. I now feel great, am at a comfortable weight, and after completing the program, I was able to reintroduce and now eat all of the foods I had to eliminate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are all answers

Nutritional balance plays a key role in optimal wellness, chronic disease prevention and managing the aging process.
Do you find yourself feeling stressed, tired and maybe a little depressed?
Do you take prescription medicines to alleviate symptoms of certain conditions, but wonder why the condition exists at all?
Do you want to boost your immune system now, to possibly prevent chronic disease later?
SpectraCell’s Micronutrient testing offers the most accurate, scientifically-proven method of assessing nutritional deficiencies.

Traditionally, a person would wait to go to the doctor until the first signs of a symptom. Today, people are looking for ways to not only manage illness with personalized treatment plans, but also achieve a higher level of wellness.

Eating a balanced diet, exercising and taking a multivitamin is simply not enough. Each person’s body is unique in its own way. Due to the complexity of the human body, an individualized healthcare approach is the only way to guarantee optimal results.

SpectraCell’s Micronutrient lab results include an overview page with all deficiencies listed, numeric and graphic reports easily identifying deficiencies, and repletion and supplementation recommendations.

Exercise Physiology is a field of study devoted to understanding the acute and chronic responses to exercise, physical activity and sport. An Exercise Physiologist is a trained professional who helps others improve their overall health by developing exercise regimens for patients suffering from chronic diseases and to help others improve flexibility, body composition and cardiovascular functions. With a master’s degree from the University of Miami in Exercise Physiology Bini has been a practicing Exercise Physiologist for over 20 years. Her concentrated area of research is in the etiology of fat cells.

This emerging medical nutrition model combines the very best of modern science, clinical wisdom and critical thinking. It is evolving rapidly due to increasing consumer demand, advancing technology and the changing healthcare landscape. Functional Nutrition is an evidence-based, systems approach to healthcare that focuses on identifying root causes and imbalances to significantly improve health outcomes. It takes into consideration how interrelated every part of the body and psyche is.

Bini works in tandem with physicians, reviews diagnoses, medical exams and medical history. Whether symptoms are related to diet, illness, medications, life history, lifestyle, exposure to toxins, antibiotic use, or other factors, a highly customized holistic health perspective is used to craft a lifestyle prescription and trigger healing from the cellular level.

We now know that food sensitivities can be at the core of just about any form of inflammation. Because the symptoms of inflammation can occur up to several days after consumption of, or exposure to a food or chemical, it is increasingly difficult to pinpoint exactly which foods are “setting us off” at any particular point in time. With reliable testing, we can understand exactly which foods and chemicals an individual is reacting to. We can also understand the severity of the reaction, which alters protocol. A strategy of elimination and a timeline for reintroduction can then be created. Meal plans with specific non-reactive foods are designed, using delectable recipes to meet the likes and dislikes or cultural differences of each individual. Over time, food sensitivities can be overcome, and we can begin to heal from inflammation. Bini coaches through the whole process until all foods are safely reintroduced.

Micronutrient testing is an advanced diagnostic tool used to assess the vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant levels in your body. It tests for more than 35 micronutrients at the cellular level of immune function, presenting the most comprehensive and accurate reading.

Micronutrient testing is an assessment of how well the body utilizes over 30 vitamins, minerals, amino/fatty acids, antioxidants, and metabolites, enabling the body to produce enzymes, hormones, and other substances essential for proper growth, development, and good health.

The micronutrient test is an advanced diagnostic tool. It uncovers deficiencies and the degree of each deficiency so that an effective treatment plan can be implemented. Not only will correcting intracellular deficiencies slow aging and repair cellular dysfunction, but it can also prevent disease progression.

Virtually all metabolic and developmental processes that take place in the body require micronutrients. There is strong evidence suggesting that subtle vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant deficiencies can contribute to degenerative processes such as arthritis, cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Evaluating micronutrient status can therefore be the first step in identifying metabolic inadequacies while shedding light on the possible underlying causes of complex chronic conditions.

Nutritional deficiencies can affect many aspects life, from concentration to energy level to the ability to fight off infection. If you have concerns about the adequacy of your diet or think you may be nutrient-deficient, talk to Bini about micronutrient testing to ensure your body is getting everything it needs to function at its best.

Bini will determine if you would benefit from micronutrient testing after a consultation. It may be recommended if there is concern about the adequacy of your diet or if you lead an active lifestyle that may deplete your nutrient levels. Bini may also recommend testing to get a baseline of your nutritional status to help develop your individualized wellness plan.

If your micronutrient test results indicate a deficiency in a nutrient or nutrients, Bini will develop a plan of action to replenish your nutritional status. This may include making changes to your diet, as well as the addition of nutritional supplements to your daily regimen.

A repeat micronutrient test, after implementing diet and supplement changes, may be recommended to reassess your levels and ensure your treatment is working.

Bini meets clients in her office, in the privacy of a home and virtually. To schedule your micronutrient test, call Bini today.

VO2 Max testing is the best indicator of cardio health. It measures oxygen consumption during exercise and tells us exactly where our heart rate needs to be to optimize workouts— or how intensely we need to exercise to challenge ourselves safely.

VO2 Max, or Maximal Oxygen Consumption, refers to the maximum amount of oxygen an individual utilizes during intense or maximal exercise. The more oxygen used, the more calories burned and the more energy a person produces. This is what a VO2 Max test measures and why it is considered the best indicator of cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance.

At a given heart rate, an individual who is better trained has muscles that can extract more oxygen from the blood allowing the individual to perform more intensely. The VO2 Max test simultaneously tracks heart rate, oxygen consumption and intensity or workload. It is the gold standard for determining cardiorespiratory fitness for athletes as well as individuals concerned with maintaining heart health.

Bini uses VO2 max test results to adjust training regimens, nutrition plans, and to track performance improvement. Bini can determine the precise threshold and target heart rate that will enable each individual to exercise more effectively, with less fatigue and fewer injuries. Periodic retesting provides motivating feedback as the fitness program progresses.

The client puts on a mask and heart rate strap. The mask is connected to a device via the VO₂ hose.
The client exercises on a stationary piece of exercise equipment such as a bicycle, treadmill, or stair stepper. They gradually increase their intensity over a period of 6 to 20 minutes until the device indicates that the anaerobic threshold has been detected. At this point, the client may stop exercising and begin a cool down phase.
The device compiles the data, analyzes the results and will print a fitness profile in a simple, insightful report where exercise zones are identified allowing trainers to further customize their client’s workout.

Athletes have increased demand for certain vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids. Bini provides testing for these specific nutrients at the immune cell level and then devises a nutrition and supplement plan to optimize fueling and replenishment. By restoring nutrient levels, Bini expects enhanced athletic performance, improved recovery, and less muscle soreness.

This body scan is today’s gold standard for measuring body fat, lean mass, and bone density. It also gives a clear picture of the types of body fat we have (visceral versus subcutaneous.) Once Bini knows the quantity and location of the fat tissue, she can determine how much fat needs to be lost, gained, or maintained to meet ideal body weight.

Resting Metabolic Rate test measures oxygen consumption at rest, and tells how many calories are burned on a daily basis at rest. With this understanding, Bini can calculate how many calories we can consume daily in order to reach that goal weight and still maintain energy levels. As we exercise to burn fat and increase our lean tissue (strengthen our muscles), our metabolic rate also increases. Bini encourages this change in body composition to boost metabolism, and she measures RMR to chart progress.
